Robert “Boomer” Kennedy is a 2008 graduate of Wake Forest University where he earned a B.A. in Social Studies Education. Boomer completed his Doctoral Degree at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2019, focusing his dissertation research on school choice and private school vouchers in North Carolina. Boomer is entering his 16th year in education, having previously served as a high school teacher, elementary and high school administrator, and district office director in Forsyth, Stokes, and Yadkin Counties. At present, Boomer is the Assistant Superintendent for Yadkin County Schools. Boomer and his wife, Lindsey–a 2009 Wake Forest graduate–have two children: Emerson (7) and Eli (4).
