Congrats to our 2019/2020 graduate cohort, who finished their final summer class today! We wish it could have been in person, but we are excited for great things to come for these emerging teacher leaders. Thanks also to the EDU faculty who joined us.
The Department of Education was proud to support the Office of Civic and Community Engagement in planning their 11th Annual MLK Read-In Day in January. In 2020, 116 children participated along with 120 volunteers, including some of our very own graduate students, from Wake Forest and Winston-Salem State.
Congratulations to Sarah Sturdivant, English education graduate student, who was nominated as the Wake Forest University representative for the North Carolina Association for Colleges & Teacher Educators (NCACTE) Student Teacher of the Year Award. Sarah student taught at Mount Tabor High School this spring.
