Dr. Eleni (Leni) Caldwell is a passionate educator who serves as Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Elementary Education in the Department of Education at Wake Forest University. Dr. Caldwell is formerly a Visiting Clinical Professor at Wake Forest University and Magnet and Testing Coordinator at Moore Elementary, where she provided instructional coaching on integrating the theory of multiple intelligences into content area standards. After completing her undergraduate degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Special Education at High Point University, she taught in many grade levels at The Arts Based School where she found a love for an arts-integrated curriculum. During her literacy-focused graduate work, she found balance between her love of teaching and dancing, so she started instructing group fitness classes at WFU and other gyms. Dr. Caldwell’s doctoral research focused on the perceived achievement of students with disabilities by learning through an arts-integrated approach. Dr. Caldwell enjoys reading picture books, presenting at conferences, and volunteering as a guardian ad litem.
