Dr. Heidi Robinson is the Associate Vice-President of Career Education and Coaching in the OPCD. She is also an Associate Professor of Practice in the Department of Education and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Heidi oversees the OPCD’s career coaches and teaches and directs the College-To-Career series of online and in-person courses offered by the Department of Education. Heidi’s PhD is in Educational Administration with a concentration in higher education. Her dissertation and research focus on career readiness, student-athletes, and first-generation student-athletes. Students receive course credit to explore personal attributes that influence future academic, professional, and career opportunities decisions, and to consider the factors that create a meaningful, fulfilling life after Wake Forest. Universities nationwide have consulted on the curriculum.
On campus, Heidi serves on the Partners Council for Leadership and Character. Her work has been recognized by students and peers. She was awarded the Mike Ford Servant-Leader Award, and the Thrive Dimension Champion for Emotional Wellbeing on campus for her work and commitment to students. In addition, she was selected as the faculty inductee into the Omicron Delta Kappa Society in recognition of her leadership and commitment to students. Both of Heidi’s sons completed their undergraduate and graduate degrees at Wake Forest. In the Winston-Salem community, Heidi has served two terms as a board member for The Shalom Project.
