Dr. Sara Cranford is originally from Winston-Salem and came through Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. She completed her undergraduate degree at UNC – Chapel Hill in history and psychology. She has a Masters in American History from the University of Utah and a PhD in Education with a concentration in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Virginia in Education. She is currently in her 25th year as a high school social studies teacher (13 years in Arlington, VA, and 12 in WS/FCS), and her 11th year as an adjunct professor at the University of Virginia. At Wake Forest, she teaches EDU 712: Learning and Cognitive Science.
