Wake Education Network

For sixteen years, the Wake Forest Department of Education hosted the Emerging Teacher Leaders Network (ETLN) Conference, which invited alumni to return to Wake Forest University once a year for its annual conference.

In 2020, the department transitioned from ETLN to the Wake Education Network, which serves to support and connect Wake Forest students and alumni through professional development, collaborative opportunities, and networking. The primary point of connection is through the department’s LinkedIn group.

Our annual alumni gathering takes place twice per year: (1) Homecoming and (2) edCamp336, a morning of professional learning hosted by the Department of Education in collaboration with Winston-Salem/Forsyth County Schools. edCamp336 is open to all local teachers as well as Wake Forest students and alumni. A lunch, plus a guest speaker, for Wake Forest Department of Education students, alumni, faculty, and staff immediately follows edCamp336.
