Mr. Dack Stackhouse

Dack Stackhouse is a transportation associate in the Department of Education. An Associate member of the Orton-Gillingham Academy, he comes to the job with over 25 years’ experience teaching middle school social studies and reading/writing in a local O-G certified school for dyslexic students. Dack earned a BA from Davidson College and an MA in Education via Wake Forest University’s Master Teacher Fellowship before spending four years as an educator in schools for Burmese refugees near the Thai-Burma border. In addition to his work in the Education Department, Dack continues to tutor in local elementary schools, working with students who need reading and writing remediation.
