Dr. Michele Myers and Students Present at Summer Institute

Revolutionary loving teachers know that using data to plan instruction is the best way to ensure that the curriculum is tailored to best meet the needs of individuals and small groups of readers. Dr. Michele Myers and two of her preservice teachers (Hannah Riley and Bea Matthews) shared with participants at the Literacies and Languages for All Summer Institute held on July 14-15 how to do just that. Their session focused on strategies for centering readers in the reading curriculum. They shared how they used weekly kidwatching data to plan highly effective one-on-one and small group guided reading lessons for their young readers.

Congratulations, Hannah and Bea!
